Hiking:

Whether you are looking for a quick day trip to a quiet waterfall, a rock scramble to an exposed vista or to hike one of the Catskill's peaks over 3500 feet, we are ready to comfortably lead the way on your memorable day.

We are also happy to help you discover the high peaks of the Adirondack's. You can book full or half day trips to these amazing locations.

Multi-Day Hikes:

Mountain Skills Climbing Guides also offers overnight trips to the Catskill Mountains. You can choose from the Slide, Wittenberg and Cornell loop or the more difficult Devils Path Traverse in the Catkill's. These are great two day trips to get you started in your outdoor endeavors.

Multi-Day pricing is different than our single day rates.

Mountaineering:

Have you ever dreamed of climbing the big peaks around the world? Mountain Skills Climbing Guides offers basic and intermediate mountaineering courses in the Catskill's, Adirondack's of New York and White Mountains of New Hampshire.

The high peaks of the Adirondack's offer some great opportunities for learning the ropes to get you started on your adventure. Climbing Classic routes like the 2000 foot Trap Dike on Mt. Colden, The Eagle Slide on Giant Mt. or one of the other countless slides in the Adirondack's. These are great winter or summer objectives.

In the White Mountains, the classic New England Presidential Traverse in winter or summer months is the first step towards climbing the big peaks like Mt Rainier or Denali. A Presidential Traverse, as it is known to climbers and hikers in New England, is a strenuous trek over the Presidential Range of New Hampshire's White Mountains. The Presidential Range is a string of 7 summits over 4,000ft including the infamous Mt. Washington. The Presidential Traverse is usually done in two to three days.
